Pine Bark Extract (Pinus Strobus)

Pine bark extract is obtained from the bark of the Northern Canadian Pine tree (pinus strobus), which contains proanthocyanidins. Proanthocyanidins, also known as OPC’s, are a class of bioflavonoids which contain antioxidant properties.* They protect against environmental factors that damage healthy cells in the body.*

Proanthocyanidins are found in the leaves, fruits and nuts of many plant species,* however, research has shown that higher concentrations of OPC’s are found in pine bark.*

Rose Hips fruit (Rosa Canina)

Rose hips of some species, especially Rosa Canina, have been used as a source of food for centuries by the Native People of Canada, Native American tribes and Europeans due to its Vitamin C, E and K properties. Rose hips are commonly used today in dietary formulas. They can also be used to make jam, jelly, marmalade, wine and soups.

Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid)

Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) is a nutrient that is necessary in the human diet. Humans are unable to synthesize Vitamin C, therefore, it must be attained from supplements or a balanced diet.* Vitamin C is vital for the formation and maintenance of connective tissue, amino acid metabolism and protection from chemicals that damage the body*.
